The Hobbs Police Department Office of Professional Standards is responsible for the investigation or review of all complaints; citizen’s complaint or administrative investigations. The Office of Professional Standards personnel report directly to the Chief of Police.
The Office of Professional Standards also oversees the Police Department's Accreditation Program through the State of New Mexico; ensures that Department wide training is cnoducted on a routine basis to enhance professional skills as well as to meet mandatory State requirements; and oversees employment background investigations.
