The Hobbs Police Department K-9 unit consists of three Patrol Officers, who have received advanced training as Police Dog handlers, and a K-9 Sergeant. Each of the K-9 Officers is assigned a police dog. The canines are used as support for police officers, for searches of persons, narcotics, and criminal apprehension.
The K-9 Officers and their police dog partners train rigorously in patrol tactics and narcotics searches to maintain their proficiency. |
